Introducing the AndroNoter widget
AndroNoter widget - the quickest way to take a note.
While all you Android users are waiting for the new Simplenote features announced yesterday to be implemented in AndroNoter (as soon as the new API is available I will start working on those features) here is a new update for AndroNoter for you to play with.
The biggest feature in this release is the widget that lets you add a new note or edit the last saved note quick and simple.
As you can see from the screenshot above, the widget is 4x1 and is divided in 3:
- the left button is a shortcut to AndroNoter application,
- the middle button is a shortcut to the last modified note, you can tap on it to quickly edit that note,
- the right button is for adding new notes.
As always if you navigate away from the edit page the note will be automatically saved.
Other small features added in this version: contextual menu for the note list that will let you delete or email a note faster (no need to open the note and then make those actions) also added some useful details about your note such as number of words or characters in the note and the last modified date.
Also coming soon (beside those cool Simplenote features I can't wait to implement): "pin to widget" so you can choose a note for fast editing from the widget, instead of editing the last modified note.
As always your feedback is welcomed and very important so leave a comment, email me or add AndroNoter on twitter.
